About

AMCET Hub

is an innovation space located at Al-Maktoum College of Engineering and Technology (AMCET) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Hub focuses on discovering, nurturing and mentoring University students and communities with innovative technological and entrepreneurial solutions to problems facing their community.

To become a leading center for innovation, creativity and technology for youth in Tanzania.

The strongest values underlined are teamwork, accountability, gender equality, volunteerism, transparency, creativity, innovativeness, participation and sense of common purpose.

Road to Innovators

Is the culmination of an exhibition of student innovations, a climax that aims to pave the way for their innovations and enable them to enter the market.

Internship Program

This is for university students, it's 8 to 12 weeks program where students learn and come up with innovative ideas based on the problems that are facing their community.

Sell Flow water meters

We design, develop and sell flow water meters for monitoring water services.

Ndoto Program

The platform focuses on discovering great potentials in young generation (Form IV graduates) and mentoring them with soft skills that will help them to identify their purposes, contributions to their communities, envision their dreams and improve their career.

Coding for schools program

This platform focuses on providing programming skills and other soft skills to primary and secondary school students.

We are proud our mentee become a first runner-up in the National MAKISATU competition

He is running a project called Wakala plus. Wakala plus is a mobile App that helps mobile money agencies (Mawakala) to be aware with the amount of money that they intend to earn from mobile vendors due to the services that they offer to the community. This amount of money is calculated per service.
